Timber – A Natural Product

The products we sell are made from timber, which is a natural material. As such, every piece is unique and may contain natural characteristics including, but not limited to, knots, grain variation, colour variation, shakes, splits, resin pockets, sapwood, surface checking, and other naturally occurring features.

Timber may also move over time due to changes in temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions. This movement can include expansion, contraction, bowing, twisting, cupping, warping, or splitting. These characteristics are natural properties of timber and are not generally considered defects.

Surrey Timbers Ltd makes every effort to accurately represent products through photographs and descriptions and carefully selects stock to provide the highest quality timber possible. However, due to the natural nature of the material, variations between individual pieces should be expected.

If you have any concerns regarding the appearance or characteristics of a product, we strongly recommend contacting us or visiting our premises to inspect the timber before placing your order.

Pricing

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure pricing information is accurate, Surrey Timbers Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel the sale of any item that has been incorrectly priced. In such circumstances, the Buyer will be notified and any payment received will be refunded in full.

Prices do not include any special packaging, insurance, or additional services requested by the Buyer unless specifically agreed in writing.

Delivery

Delivery is available to mainland UK addresses only unless otherwise agreed. Deliveries to other destinations will be quoted separately.

Any delivery dates or times provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Surrey Timbers Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage, costs, or expenses incurred by the Buyer as a result of delayed delivery.

The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive the goods at the delivery address. If delivery cannot be completed due to the Buyer’s absence, the Buyer may be responsible for any additional delivery or storage charges incurred.

If goods are damaged during transit and Surrey Timbers Ltd determines that a replacement cannot reasonably be supplied, Surrey Timbers Ltd reserves the right to refund the order in full and cancel the transaction.

Availability

Stock displayed on the website is also available for purchase at our premises. As stock levels are updated manually, there may occasionally be delays in updating online availability.

In the event that an item purchased online is no longer available, Surrey Timbers Ltd will notify the Buyer as soon as possible and will either:

• Provide a full refund; or
• Offer a suitable replacement product, subject to the Buyer’s agreement.

Returns and Refunds

Unwanted Goods

If the Buyer receives goods and subsequently decides they are no longer required, any return will be accepted solely at the discretion of Surrey Timbers Ltd.

Where a return is agreed, the Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the goods to the Surrey Timbers Ltd premises. Returned goods must be received and inspected by Surrey Timbers Ltd before any refund or credit is considered. Any refund amount will be determined following inspection of the returned goods.

Damaged or Incorrect Goods

The Buyer must notify Surrey Timbers Ltd within 7 days of delivery if goods have been received damaged or if incorrect items have been supplied.

Surrey Timbers Ltd will arrange collection of the goods where appropriate. Once inspected and confirmed as damaged or incorrect, Surrey Timbers Ltd will, at its discretion, either:

• Replace the goods; or
  Provide a full refund.

Website Orders

By placing an order through this website, the Buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Submission of an order constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and forms the basis of the contract between the Buyer and Surrey Timbers Ltd.
